| Details: TECHNICAL ASSISTANT KCKCC – LEAVENWORTH CENTER  Reporting directly to the Executive Director of KCKCC – Leavenworth Center, the Technical Assistant shall be responsible for: FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Maintaining confidentiality of information related to students (FERPA), faculty and staff and other matters pertaining to KCKCC-Leavenworth Center and the college in general. Becoming knowledgeable enough about KCKCC-Leavenworth Center, Continuing Education and Community Services, Workforce Development, OnTrack, 2+2 programs, KCKCC-Technical Education Center and the college in general so that questions can be answered effectively and correctly. Operating the computer system as it relates to the overall operation of KCKCC-Leavenworth Center. Becoming knowledgeable about the enrollment process as it relates to application for admission, financial aid, veteran’s educational benefits, the various services KCKCC provides and the locations of the campus offices. Contacting students regarding class cancellations and administering tests to students for faculty when needed. Assist with online book ordering and sales of Bookstore merchandise. Assist with graduation process as directed. Assist faculty with academic reports and forms as needed. Performing duties related to the distribution and collection of telecourse tapes and DVDs to students. Preparing file copies and distribution of original documents to the various administrative offices on main campus. Preparation of room charts/faculty attendance sheets. Processing requests for duplication orders and distribution of items to faculty. Processing common application, enrollment and drop requests for military students received through the GoArmyEd portal; uploading the semester class schedule; manually entering classes that have been added to the semester class schedule; downloading and printing the prospective and current student roster.  CONSULTING TASKS Performing duties related to the distribution of instructor materials, personnel paperwork, collecting syllabi and faculty information sheets for faculty assigned to KCKCC-Leavenworth Center, Ft. Leavenworth Army Education Center and the United States Disciplinary Barracks. Assisting with enrollment at the designated times of the year. Assisting students with Accuplacer testing, completion of applications, processing admission and enrollment paperwork, accepting payments, ordering transcripts, generating receipts, WebAdvisor, online textbook ordering and distributing college literature and information. Select, train and supervise the paraprofessional team to ensure quality medical care, exceptional client service and maximum productivity. Manage effectively to enable associates to grow and develop professionally within the practice. Provide professional, efficient and exceptional client service (lead by example) and ensure all associates do the same. This includes educating clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventive care, Pet health needs, hospital services (such as “drop off” and “come in now”), marketing campaigns, and other related information. Provide effective communication between associates, clients, field leadership and Central Team Support. Provide inspirational leadership to the team by creating a positive professional relationship with PetSmart associates, adoption center agencies, and clients. Effectively schedule associates to meet client needs according to Banfield guidelines, while proactively planning time off and CE scheduling. Responsible for cost containment, cash control/banking, loss prevention, office and medical supply ordering, and inventory management, maintaining acceptable Hospital Audit scores. Ensure compliance with all practice policies and procedures and with all local, state and federal laws. Participate in planning and budgeting with the Field Director and Medical Director. Participate in market level teams and discussions. Perform other duties as assigned. Two to three years related experience required (service-type industry, veterinary profession, etc.), with Banfield hospital experience preferred. One year management experience in a sales or service-type industry required; two years preferred.
